Euroclassica Summer Schools

Study trips for 6th formers in other European countries: spend a few days working with other enthusiastic young classics students from all over Europe.

Euroclassica (the federation of classics teachers’ associations in Europe) are offering three summer schools: in Chios, Greece; in Valencia (Saguntum), Spain; and Dubrovnik (Ragusa), Croatia.  The Chios summer school offers a course on Homer with ancient and modern Greek language; the Academia Saguntina in Spain offers life and drama in Greece and Rome; and the Dubrovnik one deals with Greek and Latin literature including later Latin.  English is the working language of all three summer schools, but there will be the opportunity to practise using a second language with the other students.  Please see the links for full details, but please note the fees include everything except travel to and from the venues.

If you would like further details please contact John Bulwer, the JACT representative within Euroclassica, at johnbulwer3@gmail.com .

The 16th Academia Homerica will take place 12-21 July 2013, in Athens and on the island of Chios
